About me
Pippa Browde is on the faculty at the Blewett School of Law at the University of Montana. She earned her J.D. at the University of New Mexico and her LL.M. in Taxation at New York University. She clerked on the New Mexico Court of Appeals after law school. For five years, she worked as an attorney for the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel in the Small-Business/Self-Employed division in New York City and Sacramento, California. Since joining
the faculty at the University of Montana, she has enjoyed teaching tax law for over a decade. Her research focuses on tax administration and also tax issues in Indian Country. She has contributed to State Tax Notes and published in numerous national law reviews and journals. She serves as co-Director of the Montana Tax Institute. She currently
also serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the law school, which proves that she has no ability to say “no” to Dean Gagliardi.
